24/7 Wall St created a weighted index of more than two dozen measures to identify the best city to live in each state. It considers all boroughs, census-designated places, cities, towns and villages with at least 8,000 inhabitants. (Every State Across the US)
Affordability, economy, quality of life and community were all weighted.
These cities have much more to offer than the index components they were ranked on. For one, these communities are often within commuting distance of a central metropolitan area. This is no coincidence, as living closer to a large city gives residents more job opportunities, which can help reduce unemployment and improve financial security.
Alabama
Valley
