About Adam Rich
Adam Rich (October 12, 1968 to January 7, 2023) was an American actor best known for his role as a Nicholas Bradford, the youngest son on to the television series Eight is Enough, which ran on TV for five seasons (1977– 1981).
A distinctive feature of his appearance as a child actor was his pageboy haircut, which inspired thousands of parents of that era to imitate their young sons. His role on the show made him known as “America’s Little Brother.”

Personal Life of Adam Rich
Rich was born on October 12, 1968. After growing up as a child actor, Rich lived with his parents and younger brother in Granada Hills, Los Angeles.
The family briefly liveing in Florida, where he learned how to act at a local gym. He was active in the sports, including the baseball, football, bicycle riding, skateboarding, and swimming. He was also interested in drawing.
At the age of 14, he tried smoking marijuana, and at age 17, in 1986, he was dropped out of high school. He almost died of the Valium overdose in year 1989. In year 1991, he was arrested & charged with an attempted theft at a pharmacy.
In 1996, there was a media rumor that Rich had been murdered; The story was published with Rich’s consent in the San Francisco-based magazine Might.
Perhaps author Dave Eggers covered the incident in his memoir. A Heartbreaking Work of the Staggering Genius.
In year 2002, Rich was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). He has been in the drug rehabilitation at least three times.
As of 2013, he occasionally makes in-person appearances and markets script ideas for TV shows and movies.
Rich died on January 7, 2023, at 54, at his home near Los Angeles.
Career of Adam Rich
Rich played Nikolas at the age of eight. After Eight Is Enough, he played in Irwin Allen’s short-lived 1981 TV series Code Red on ABC and the 1983 sitcom Gun Shy on CBS.
Rich made guest appearances on various television series, including The Love Boat, The Six Million Dollar Man, Chips, Fantasy Island, St. Elsewhere & Baywatch.
He also did some voice work on the cartoon series Dungeons & Dragons with Eight Is Enough co-star Willie Ames.
Rich appeared in TV commercials for Betty Crocker’s Snackin’ Cakes and Nabisco’s Whitworth Crackers.
